How do you make the invisible apparent? In these photos, deer and other animals browse and hunt in winter at midnight, in our backyard. Some years, snow covered the ground, other years, dried grass and frozen apples. Depending on the weather, temperature and air qualities, the photos range from crisp to noisy, under and over-exposed — even anti-artistic. Many are full of phantoms and doubles. The photo-process used mixtures of SLR and infrared remote cameras. Print sizes variable.
